Indian war paint, meanings of colours and symbols worn

Hi,

I've painted many an indian brave in my time and love how one pose can vary once the war paint is slapped on but never actually realised that the colour and pattern of the paint had a deeper meaning than 'ooh, look at me, I'm scary'!.
This site goes some way to explaining the meanings of the colours etc worn by braves.
Just imagine, you create a personality for your pendraken brave in your head and follow the guide to make his story come to life.
