Was out at Tesco at 7am this morning. The local Tesco to me is one of the ones that was 24hr but is now 6am to 10pm.

The shop was pretty quiet, almost as many staff as punters, but many of the shelves were pretty bare and choice very limited even at that hour. Particularly slim pickings for vegetarians like me.

No paracetamol or hand sanitiser, precious little loo roll/ kitchen roll/ tissues but enormous bags of pasta and plenty of liquid soap this week, unlike last.

My fellow shoppers all seemed fairly relaxed about things. A couple in paper face masks, one in a plastic full-face mask with built in respirator. A couple, like me, wearing latex gloves in a vague attempt to limit contact.

All being well, I'm stocked up for a week or slightly more.

Awwww.....'Bother' >:( !

I was planning to 'napalm' some weeds today. (This is my idea of gardening) :D
Get out early, so I could do it before the chickens started 'helping', and the weedkiller would dry, so they'd be safe.

Too windy !....I'll end up killing a load of 'proper plants'. X_X

Looks like I'll have to try on Tuesday....(If the weather forecast is accurate.)

Cheers - Frustrated of Wales. (I'll clean out the USB ports on the PC, instead.....That's needed doing for ages.)

Looks as though it'll still be breezier than is 'safe' for the other plants, Ian.

(Again...if the forecast is accurate.) ;)

Sunny but a bit breezy here. It's a shame Phil can't pop over to Ian's, he could do his weed killing from there out of the wind! :D

Well I am only about 10 miles from Wales...

But it's a flat calm here !

That's one of the disadvantages of being the best part of 1,000 feet above sea level.....With effectively no cover from the usual wind direction.

Well I am only about 10 miles from Wales...

And roughly 160 miles from Techno Towers.  ;)

It IS a bit of a sod.....Apart from the 'breeze', it's a glorious day here. (For a change !) =)

Cheers - Phil.

WHAT  :o :o IT'S not Raining !

Have you forgotten Ian?

There are two types of weather in Wales.

Raining

...and ...

about to rain.

Clearly, it's currently the latter :)

Yep.....It's getting darker already.  ;D ;D

And I've got to go up on the flat roof after din-dins and replace a telecom 'cover' that's come off the wires......Looking at the cover, I can't understand how it ever stayed there. :o
I've got to cut a chunk out of the cover.....and another in the box, so the cover will sit there flush, with the drop wire going through the 'ole. =)

At least the 'cleaning the USB ports' seems to have worked and made the computer a lot happier...It seems to recognise the tablet....and the camera again, now.  :-bd

Hey Ho.

Cheers - Phil.  ;)

Can the defenders stave off the attackers for long enough to evacuate the peasants and their sheep to the town?
Errr ... yes. They did.

So because I said that 2020 was going to be a year of Napoleonics ... I had a review of my 1944 British.
