Hi,

Are there any plans for expanding Finnish Winter War range?

Figures look very nice but the range lacks of at least a cult LMG.

?

You mean the Lahti-Saloranta? Never realised it had a cult following  :)
I know the AT rifles were used by safe-busting bank robbers after the war.

And while you are at it, guys in the Uniform Mk "Cajander" would be nice. So named after the premiere of the time of our no-cash-or-equipment army. The equipment handed out consisted of a belt and cocade. And a rifle.

Yes I meant this LMG. "Cult" for me after watching Talvisota and cult in a sense that I cant imagine Finnish range without it.

A figure with molotov coctail and wood log for tracking would also be welcome, but LMG is a must!  :)

Ah yes, Finnish tank busters lacking weapons but rich in guts. Like the hand grenade armed guy climbing on top and banging on the hatch of a Russian T-26 uttering the immortal line "Open up Ivan, it's Death come a-knocking" (Einar Schadewitz in 1940).
I have a vague recollection my dad who served in mid sixties still had to lug the heavy and semi-useless Lahti-Saloranta LMG around. Luckily the red army donated tons of much better Soviet weapons to us. Degtaryev LMGs "Emma"s for example.

If I had to pick one country to praise from WW2 it would be the Finns without a doubt.

Hmm... Yes, quite...  ;) I suppose what you meant was WWII Finnish - April 27th 1945 - Bye Bye.
That's when the war against the Germans ended when they left for Norway.

There was a British Hurricane squadron based up at Murmansk at the time too, so you could do hypothetical Hurricane vs Hurricane with Hurricane allies!

Hi again,

I was wondering about Soviet Winter War infantry. Do you think those Russian WW2 winter infantry figures would do?

(It could be nice to have some codes of infantry in budenovka red army hat and early type helmet.)

On the contrary, I'm sure he meant that WW2 finished in 1945. The Boom, Boom being a reference to the redoubtable Basil Brush, a puppet fox popular on British TV when I had more hair, less waistlijne and better eyesight :)

At least the ww2 rifleman fig with a pic in the listing should do for the latter part of winter war when the soviets had a clue and had winter camo suits. For the earlier war you should get chaps with greatcoats (don't know if they exist) and at a pinch you could have a company of RCW1 which I think is a rifleman with the pointy hat and summer tunic. Appropriate for the ukrainians who had no winter gear at all.
One thing to avoid is fur hats, they started using those only after the experiences of winter war.

Thanks for help. Seems I will have to wait for some new releases with these early soviets.
