Its not cricket. Just recently I got put in the same category as a car thief because someone else suggested a guy do a scan his friends OOP spacehulk tiles so he could have a game for nostalgias sake (I just agreed!) I am surprised that I didn't pick up a few stifles in the process!

Some people have extremely strong views on copyright, in both directions. Some think making a copy of an out-of-print game is comparable to car theft. Others say copyright should be abolished, and there are plenty of people with less extreme, but still very strongly held, opinions. I've found sensible discussion of the topic via internet forums to be virtually impossible :-(

Mind you, thats internet forums of any kind, you'll never please everyone that reads what you write. (I still think maurice is an awful name for a game... :o)

I got very confused when I first started seeing forum topics about Maurice, because I thought Maurice was a player's name ;-)

I'm not a fan of TMP. The software they use leaves a very great deal to be desired, in my opinion. I advertise there, but I've only posted twice. The belligerent attitude of some posters really puts me off. All told, I much prefer this forum and the SOTCW forum.

Well it all sounds very boring so I don't think I'll be pursuing this thread any further. Sounds like a case of get a life.

Greetings

Especially as it looks as if TMP's posting stats have got a bug of some sort - the system thinks I've made 36 posts over the last 11 years and earlier in this thread (a couple of months ago?) it was 368!

I've never understood how I've picked up 3 stifles, I really only ever post when it's in reply to a Pendraken related query.

I'm keeping out of all that.  I can't see how hiring staff can cause so much arguing, but I do wonder if a European based wargamer would have been a good addition to his team.  Someone with a bit of free time who doesn't want a massive wage, retired maybe, with a basic knowledge of web code, who could then have gone to some of the shows and offered pics and reports, as well as the day-to-day admin and editing of the site.

Sounds like my dream job Leon, sadly I don't see anyone paying me to do it any time soon :(
