I have been searching the web and any books on the subject I can get my hands on, but I have found accounts both confirming and denying the use of espignols by danish forces. I am inclined to support the view that they were used to some extent but I'm not sure.

Any of you out there have any definitive knowledge on this?

We had some sources saying they were used, when we were designing the ranges, but I have no idea where/who it was now.  I'll have a dig about when I get chance and see what I can find.

Much appreciated. I am currently planning to build a campaign using Black Powder rules and Pendraken minis and i really love the espignol model, might even branch out to first schleswig war too.

A quick search came up with the following thread on the TMP forum. Scroll down a bit to find the relevant info. Hope this helps?

Thanks Steve. That article really makes me think that they were actually involved to some extent. It confirms much of what some of my danish sources say. I thinks i'll order some in the new year.
Thanks for all your help guys. It's really nice coming back to historic gaming and finding such a helpful community  :)
