The Danish Horse Guards




The horse guard did served during the war, but they never participated in any battles.

The Foot Guard Battalion





The foot guard however, participated in several battles, as in Idstedt 1850.

Just seen this project, very nice indeed :)

I particularly like that the guard's dressing is better than the line infantry ;)

yes, they practiced exercise probably more than the line regiments were  ;)

It's a nice way to visually indicate troop quality and adds some variety to the basing :)

I'm doing something similar for my AWI project. British and Continentals in neat ranks, poorly trained troops in messy ranks, and crap troops in groups with occasional lines.

Makes it really easy to tell the difference for movement and combat  :)
