Leon,

Wow!!! I think I've been converted to 10mm!

Just received my first order of Pendraken figures today + a little 'sneak preview' of the upcoming 1st S/H War line and I'm really impressed with the figures. Ya'll have really outdone yourselves and can't wait to see the entire line released!

Now, if only I could find some time to paint the little devils!

Will post pics when I have some painted up.

For anyone considering this war - the Crimean War Russian artillery doesn't work but I highly recommend the FPW Prussian dragoons - what wonderful sculpts they are! I may have to add a few ficticious dragoon regiments as an excuse to buy more of these top notch figures! The 2nd S/H War [1864] Danish infantry and artillery work but appear to be a bit smaller than the newer S/H figs but that shouldn't be much of a deterent.

Thanks Eric, glad you like them!

Nik,

Unfortunately, you are correct and my wife couldn't be happier   ;D!

I never would have believed that I would be converted to the 'dark side' of 10mm but I do believe Pendraken has done just that. If our weather breaks this weekend, I'll get around to priming and painting them! Then, I'll post some pics.

Leon, do you want me to post some pics of the sneak peek figures in bare metal, primed or fully painted or not at all?

However you like is fine, I've got some of the Danish in front of me, nicely painted by Nik!

Cool - I enjoyed painting them - superb figures  8)

Are you going to bung a pic up - or just tease us?  ;)

swampking

Nik,

I'm a complete tease!

However, I'll work on them tonight and will post pics when I'm finished, probably on Monday [too much to do to just sit and paint but it might be sooner].

Nik, you're somewhat of a tease yourself! You've already painted some and you didn't post pics either! I swear, if being a 10mm gamer means that you tease everyone, then I might go back to 15mm~LOL!!   :P

Ah - but mine were painted for Pendraken - and when I do work for them, I don't post any pics that I've got until they've displayed them etc...the exception to this was the SCW stuff I did recently...

I tend to not really post many pics of commissioned work as I think the owner has that right...dunno  :-\

I don't think I took any pics of these anyway!

Leon

I've got them on the desk at work, so I'll see what I can do.  I've been reluctant previously because we won't have the rest of the range done for a few months yet.

I always apply the 3 foot rule (or is that 90cm?). If a figure looks good on the table 3' (90cm) away then it is good. For 10mm I rarely bother with eye lashes and buttons - just the coats, facings and muskets tipped with gunmetal. There are some beautiful figures out there, but remember that 10mm scale may loose all that effort when being used on the table.

I call that my arms length rule- any body who brings one of my figures (what ever size) up to his nose gets told off.  But then I am a crap painter!
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.
