My son will definitely want any Daleks that are made! On a small but possibly important note, are there any copyright issues with this?

There may well be unfortunately.  The BBC have been 'very protective' of Dr Who in the past (oh the irony!)

https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2008/05/knitwit-bbc-goes-after-dr-who-fans

However, it would appear that things aren't clear cut in terms of who owns the various rights (copyright, trademarks, etc.).  For example, Terry Nation's Estate retain the rights to the Daleks (and the BBC  pay through the nose to continue to use these iconic villains).

Ultimately i guess Pendraken will know what risks they want to take with this.

Perhaps making figures 'inspired by' rather than directly copying will make things acceptable.  BTD after all make direct images and market them under the Dr Who banner.  I've no idea what rights they've purchased to do this.

Fingers crossed though...Dr Who minis would be cool!   :D

Vulpine is sculpting them for his own personal use, so we're just going to mould them up for him to save him having to sculpt hundreds!  That aspect will be dealt with by our contract casting side (separate business), so it won't be anything to do with Pendraken.  Commercially speaking, everything 'Doctor Who' is copyrighted, so it's not something anyone would be advised to get into.

Ill see what I can do... I only have my Iphone

Here is a question for Leon (I would ask via email, but I thought others might be interested), if I want a mould (that holds 30x10mm models) to have, say 5 identical darleks, do I need to make 5 or can you press the same model in the mould multiple times?

Thanks

You'd need to make 5 of them as the mould can only be pressed once.  It depends though on how many you need for your games?  If you need 30 total, then you could sculpt 3 and we'd have to spin the mould 10 times, etc.  The more you need total, the more sculpts it's better to have, to save on casting time.

Right, so you can't put one master model into one mould 5 times? One model per mould?

For exsample, say you have Fantesy orcs with cross bow and one mould has 10 of them in that mould, you had 10 master models presse into the mould at the same time. You couldn't press the same model in the one mould multiple times? If that make sense?

Oh, another pic;

.... To be more simple. If we have a mould with 10 Daleks, so evry time I ask you to make me a unit of ten, it would be better for you if that one mould had 10 darleks in it. Does that mean I have to make by hand 10 separate Daleks for you to make that mould up.

Or: You find someone to cast in resin. But I don't know if someone could do it in 10mm.
