N6 Crossbowman

I've just received a pack on N6 Crossbowmen. Unfortunately these figures are holding their crossbows vertically rather than horizontally. This results in the crossbows looking more like short and stubby bows.

I was wondering if it would be possible to bend these figures to a slightly different position and so make them look more like crossbows â€" has anyone tried this or does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to make these look more like crossbows ?

Did it with mine but there were the inevitable casualties, however I am reknowned as a cack handed fecker!!!

Coax gently with pliers.

If you get the metal warm first it doesnt break so easy. If I am doing this type of modification I boil some water, pour some into a small container such as a mug and drop the figures in for 30 seconds.

Care is still required but the metal does give easier.
