Formulated a new plan for the next 6 months:

a) Complete 3mm ACW.

b) Complete 10mm 1914 Belgium.

c) Complete 28mm Papal and Milanese armies.

Meanwhile run 15mm Longstreet campaign down the club and continue C19th imaginations campaign with mate on the Wirral.

You missed a couple of things:

  • "nearly" in items a, b & c
  • items d-g, the new projects you will start or at least consider

;) ;D

Last four galleys bases milliputted, four stands of trarii and three of cavalry assembled.
Spare milliputt went into a generals base, added a couple of trarii, a significant, a centurion and it felt like it needed something more; then I had (for me) a marvellous idea. Standard cut off of a second Roman signifa bearer, French 2nd Empire Eagle transplanted, viola, (or any other stringed instrument) extra figure with an eagle!

Bases of 28mm Musketeers etc polyfilla-ed and sanded tonight ready for spray-black undercoat in AM - and then these will get the fast-paint treatment :)

Rules-wise, probably going to start with En Garde (Osprey, v nice) but have a sneaky suspicion that they'll end up being played with Black Ops (Osprey, awesome) - as this seems to be the single most versatile ruleset I've come across (for 1:1 skirmishing)....

It's bonkers-good.

(feel free to quote me on that: it's another Harwood 3-word review thing) ;)

Flesh highlights and metalwork done.
Am I sounding repetitive?

A few days' rest this side, before the peaceful town of Dead Man's Knees suddenly gets a shock. I must start writing my rules earnestly.

No imagi-nations, but imagi-Western towns then?

FierceKitty

Has to be that way. Wild West done in realistic terms would be utterly dull. Do you know the average annual homicide rate in Dodge City at the height of its fame was .6 per annum?

Well goldarn it! At least the other 4/10 of me is still alive and kicking.

More ACW and Belgians up on the painting rods.

Continuing with my 28mm - made a start on more jump off points, a Panther, a Tiger, a 75mm Infantry Gun and a 150mm Field Gun. I want to focus on the artillery pieces so they can feature in a Brecourt Manor type game only using British Commando as opposed to US Airborne.
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.
