I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Can I point out that in French "douche" simply means "shower". As a character in Big Bang Theory once remarked of a feeble insult, "quick, rush me to the burns unit!"  :P :P :P

TMP, proving what the rest of the world suspect about the US may be true for many of it's inhabitants.  (I do know some perfectly reasonable Americans)

Perhaps you should point out to our colonial cousin who insulted you that thier population is 10 times that of Great Britain,  So by the law of averages  just to be considered as equals to us in sporting prowess they have to win 10 times more medals.  :D :D

Or you might find it more ammusing to assume he is a Redneck, his house has wheels and suggest that he goes to school today and learns his colours , starting with Gold Siver and Bronze

Techno- are you suggesting the US ISN'T the greatest country on the planet.  Expect Fox News to start abusing you.

Goodness knows how many ANYONE would have to win to beat Granada then ! :D
There aren't enough different events for another country to do that, are there ? ;D

Seriously though....I enjoy it all...Yeah, I cheer when we get a medal of whatever colour...But I get a buzz when a member of Whateverland does brilliantly too !
That's what the original concept was, wasn't it ?
