Dougie,
Hope your okay.
When you are free, Would you mind listing your colours for your argentines.
I know base is Russian Uniform, highlighted Grey Green. What colour are the lids, webbing and boots?

Hi folks, thanks for the kind words, we're hopefully sorted now, Leon I appreciate your PMs thanks matie!
Should be posting a bit more frequently now, I know there's a show at the same venue early next year so all being well the Burntside Hill engagement will be making an appearance there!
Lemmey : the webbing and helmets are VMC Reflective Green 890 this is lightened with any yellow, don't use white as it alters the tone too much! The boots are black high lighted with Vallejo Panzer aces dark rubber 306, this is also good to highlight black weapon stocks/furniture on SLRs etc.
Further to terrain updates I'll put these on in sequence so I don't confuse anyone. Dougie

I'll use the same piece to illustrate, the photo below shows the next stage, grass and tufts complete and the river painted in, if you look carefully you can see the depth grading on the shade, I hate seeing blue rivers, mine are normally dirty brown and the heavy peat streams of the Falklands are no exception.

This close up hopefully shows the variation in green tussock grass I was after.

Water areas glossed, I use Ronseal Ultra Tough Hardglaze Gloss, which is a polyurethane varnish, don't use the water based ones they don't dry shiny enough!

One of the other tiles and a close up.

Pleased with the look so far? Dougie
