Well I for one am very happy at the releases, but then it is stuff I'm interested in.

clibinarium

True. Its a bit like buying a wargames magazine, we tend on judge an issue on the subjects covered. If they conincide with our interests we like it, but if its stuff we aren't into it tends to get a gets a "meh".

There's always the next issue.

None of them are my periods but its an impressive set of releases. From where i stand there's lots of good things happening at Pendraken this year - long may it continue.

Next month might not be impressive to some people either then!  It's mainly 20th C. stuff again, hopefully with some Fantasy/Sci-Fi thrown in.

I'm not underestimating the work involved, and I know makers need to make a profit. But this is also true of the blown-glass ornamental animals business; still no use to me. I'm disappointed at the lack of various fascinating figures that have been requested by various enthusiasts, and frankly by the repetitive nature of some gamers' interests. I can't avoid the feeling that the endless calls for yet more little 20th century gnomes in battledress or yet more Napoleonics are the result of a lack of imagination or effort on the part of many gamers (rather like the way certain types of Americans on holiday in Italy or Japan can be heard bleating about the difficulty of finding a hamburger, or the way every concert of baroque music seems to feel obliged to include the Four Seasons). There's SOOOOO much more out there, and I wish gamers would give producers a bit more incentive to make it.
Hate me if you want to.

Too much trouble.

Just leave our Americans friends alone, and let's agree to disagree about the rest of your post.

Cheers,

I understand what you're saying, but we have to concentrate on what is going to be financially beneficial, and then do the more unique requests when we can.  The South American Pacific War is a good example of that, where it's never going to be a huge seller, but it was a bit different and we wanted to do it.

Some of the requests we've had on the Forum have piqued our interest, and we'll try and fit them in where we can, but it is always going to be a long process.  From deciding to do a figure, to putting it on the website, can take anything from 3 months to a year.  We've got some more requested stuff in the pipeline, but like I said before, the Forum is only 2 months old, and we've got to fit these new requests into what we've already got scheduled.

So for the time being, our focus will be on the items that have the most votes, and we'll try and fit the more random things in around those.

 :o

Dave/Leon/Lynne are more likely to go for something if it gets plenty of votes on here.

So if you've got a particular interest the best plan would probably be to get all your mates to join and support your request.

You'll be glad to hear that Clib's gonna be working on these pretty soon.

Greetings

I'd far prefer Pendraken to produce excellent figures that people buy and add more eclectic items when they can than cater to a lot of niche tastes and disappear  :).

I'm in the process of painting some Pendraken SYW Prussians as SYW Brunswickers (v Imhoff's regiment) and admiring the latest Battlegames teaser, so I may well buy more - as well as some 20th century.

No SCW this time, there might be a vehicle or two but it will depend on the designer.

Mate!!! youve got to love FierceKitty- bless! Maybe he could suggest a few things that would 'sell' and get peoples imaginations going.
Please dont diss my requests for boring old Napoleonics - have you seen other ranges out there!? it is a tundra.

I am not into SCW WW1 WW2 but come off it man you can't moan about the amount of releases- I only wish I did do WW2 - I would be happy happy days ( although those chaps are spoilt for choice in this period- lucky B#####s)

Naaaaa keep it up and ignore the negatives - your bag baby (meeow)  :P ;D :D :) ;)
