Just for info, the Mk V*'s and the French 37mm gun were requests from customers, so we do take everything on board!  Next month will also feature a lot of Forum requests.

Some great additions to the SCW range 8). Really looking forward to the pics.

Forgot to add that the Sdkfz 3 will be great for AVBCW as well as WWII.

Now I need to find some figures that will look like Boy Scouts for use in AVBCW for, unsuprisingly, Recce units.

Yes it will, we put it in the WW2 section, but it can really be used throughout the 20's/30's I think.

I'll have a think if we've got anything for boy scouts!

A Toldi I...nice.  Some of those minor ally vehicles are pretty cool.

Good stuff - it's great to see a regular release schedule with a load of great things on it!

"I'll have a think if we've got anything for boy scouts!"

I was thinking possibly some of the Middle East WWI or American WWI infantry may be suitable. Long socks and long shorts give a good starting point. Possibly some of the East Africa stuff as well might be usable. Add a bit of green stuff for the helmet and I reckon they would be fine.

Any feedback would be great Leon.

Disappointing, actually. Much more colourful stuff has been discussed in the forum. :(

:o   ???   :'(

The MkV*'s, 37mm French gun, SCW International Brigade and the Russian motorbikes have all been things requested on the Forum.

There's been a whole lot of stuff been discussed on here, but the Forum is only 2 months old.  It takes time to go from a request, then on to the design schedule, to a master figure, to a mould, etc.

Was there anything specific you were expecing?  Next month will have some more things that have been requested here.

Don't be upset. To those who registered early, it is obvious that the new releases are partly in answer to specific requests. I distinctly remember supporting the suggestion for Russian WWII motorcycles myself. And I will most certainly order them.

I hope this sort of huge release list is going to be a monthly feature. It's quite spectacular. Hats off to the Pendraken crew.  :-*

Cheers,
Aart

You're kidding right? You need to add a wink or a poke-tongue smiley at the end of your post... :P

31 new releases 'disappointing'...I don't think so. The Evil Empire haven't managed 31 distinct new releases this month.

There's no pleasing some people  ;)

lentulus

I have some grip of the development and release cycle in my own business, so I am quite pleased to see some Russian motorcyclists.  From what I have seen from other manufacturers, I would have been pleasantly surprised at 6 moths, and not disappointed at a year.

But perhaps an explanation of what has to happen from conception through the decision to proceed, concept, design, production and delivery would help folks unfamiliar with the miniatures business understand what the cycle is like.

clibinarium

Quite right. One non-10mm project I've been working on has still to see the light of day after nearly a year, another started in January and is months away from release yet.

For the 10mm stuff, it often depnds on me desinging dollies which are then cast and added to for master figures. It can easily take a couple of weeks just to send, cast and get back the dollies (they have to go in the queue like everything else). I would guess the time from first sculpting started to first figures released (i.e. only kicking the range off) is for me at least, about three to four months. I can only speak for myself though.

If you look at the variety of requests on the forum, and consider it would all have to be done by a small number of designers, well, its going to take time. Even if you pare away the unviable and niche subjects the volume is still huge.

Leon

I know we'll never be able to please everyone, but we try to do a pretty close job!  These 31 releases represents a huge amount of time/work/money, and next month we're looking at another 20-ish hopefully.
