What would you figure as the minimum size of base to accommodate the largest of FPW caissons (such as PPW19) or limbers?

My caissons (four horses, limber, caisson) are based on 70mm x 30mm. I reckon you could slim them down to 25mm wide if you wanted, but I am not sure you could reduce the 70mm length by much.

Good grief man, how do you do that?  37.5 x 12.5mm.  What exactly is on that size base?   Just the caisson?

Just been through my entire photobucket, and unless it's sitting very small in a photo I cannot find it! Sorry.  :'(

I'll try to get a photo over tonight, all I know is I didn't have all 6 horses on the team and I had to jack-knife it onto the base!

Okay, after 1 hours sleep last night (blame my 4 week old daughter) my befuddled brain has just reread my original post, that should read 1.5" by 3" bases!  ;D ;D =O X_X

Wurttenberg 'Half-horse' Artillery with Limbers...

FOUND ONE, WITH ARTILLERY CAISSON ON THE BASE!  :D

Legrand's cavlary division, with horse artillery casson at the top of the group!
Knew I had one, (on a 3" by 1.5" base - sorry) #:-S

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  So we are not far different after all, and my bases are ever so slightly smaller!!
But then I keep the guns separate.  I could have a shorter base, say 50mm, if it was just the limber.
