These look absolutely beautiful. It's funny, but I've been thinking about getting a Pacific project underway lately, and these might be just the push I need. I hope there are some more poses with spectacles-it is such a distinctive WWII Japanese look!

Keep up the great work!

Not sure about more specs poses, but I'm sure it'd be an easy conversion with a bit of putty!

The ATR looks great, but I wouldn't want to carry that around the jungle.

One question I have is regarding their size. I only have two Pendraken ranges, fantasy and colonial sudan, and the size difference is significant (the fantasy are much bigger). Are the WWII figs more like the former or the latter? (I assume they are more like the colonials, but just want to make sure!) Thank you!

Love the general with katana, the parachutier, and also the cicle!!

good job Mr. Sculptor!

(is it possible to know his name?)

They will be about the same size/style as the Colonials.  It's the same designer as a load of our other ranges, so will be very similar.

The range is fantastic, I have been looking at doing the Pacific for years but only in 10mm. Job done! :-*

A couple of questions:

Will the USMC range be as large as the Japs range appears to be going? and will there be a range of LVT vehicles? What about beefing up the range for the 14th Army and Aussies?

I think the large amount of poses and differing types are a great step forward, the late Romans spring to mind. The SCW range has amazed me, so much variety for what I imagine is a fringe area? Will this be the norm for the future? and will past ranges be revamped. The thought of  large revamped Brit/Gaul and Republican Roman armies would be fantastic.

Leon

There are more Marine masters arriving at the end of June, and we've already got a Buffalo in the Indo-China range, which has gone away for some conversions.  Aussies and things like that will probably be done at some point but no timescale for that.

The different poses is something we'll be doing for the foreseeable future, but it depends on the range being done really.  I think the Republican Roman's will get this treatment at some stage.

Hi Leon,

I don't know if this has been covered already, but in the Japanese/Marines packs are there more than one pose to a code? For example, if a pack is Japanese charging, are they all the same figure/pose? Whatever the answer, I have to say these figures look absolutely great, and I am getting more and more tempted...

Oh, and I'd like to add another vote for Brits in the CBI...and Gurkhas! Burma is my favourite Japanese conflict. Wouldn't pagodas and stupas in 10mm look amazing?

There is one pose, 10 figures per pack for £1.05.  So you could buy one each of:
JP1 Foot, rifle 60° (10)
JP2 Foot, standing, firing (10)
JP3 Foot, charging (10)
and you've got a nice group with variation for £3.15.

I've added the China/Burma/India stuff to my lists.  I could see it being done at some point as it would be one of the few areas of WW2 that we'd be missing, although we haven't had many people mention it before.  Me and Dave have spoken about doing some Chinese to go with the Japanese already, but the most requested area at the moment is the Polish.
