WW2 Askaris

Hello.

I´m looking for miniatures to represent the black african soldiers of WW2.
I have bought some german askaris from ww1, thinking about using them for italian askaris, but their backpacks are the bigger problem with the. It may be that I paint them as belgian Force Publique, although they are not wearing shorts.
Other options?
Pictures of pendraken other colonial infantry options?
