The capes.....Started with a thin 'sheet' of ProCreate....Just to get the rough 'flat' shape....(Allow to set )....Over the top of that I put a 'skin' of a mix of ProCreate and Magic Sculp in about a 50/50 ratio....And I 'paint' the  folds in the cape with a colour shaper.
The hair is a mix of the yellow of green stuff and the black of ProCreate...(Yukky brown colour)..And then mixed with Magic Sculp again, to soften the mix slightly.
The hands are just a mix of the blue of G/S and the white of the ProCreate.

Could do it all with Green stuff.....I just like the different consistencies of the various mixes of different putties.......Basically because it saves me a certain amount of time. ;)

Hope that helps fsn.
Cheers - Phil.

My plan is to add command, cavalry and maybe chariots to the range, plus nobles/generals.
Just have to see how the finances stand up over the next six months or so
This was part of my last jobs payments, and I thought I would put my money where my mouth is.
Techno has done two individual projects for me thus far, the Goblin Shaman and the 1870 Guards Limber, both filling holes in ranges and were utterly superb. This, Dark Lord permitting, will be the start of an addition to the catalogue as a new range for Pendraken to sell.

It's something I first requested a while back, but I figured I should help it along a bit. Hopefully it will be a decent enough seller as a Dark Aged/late Antiquity force for Hail Caesar/Dux Bellorum/other rule sets.

these look great and some of the sculpts could easily be used for Germanics and Dacians as well.

naked sculpts just use the new Gauls, same uniform...

Really like the look of these, and well done to Lemmy for putting his money where his mouth is.

The one with the red shield looks a little strange -  I think having both arms extended looks not quite right?

Got another of my headaches. When I started on this forum, I thought the whole process was sooooo easy.

Will you be doing a personality figure of Wee Max McMad the Woad Warrior?
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

That's to make Dave's life an awful lot simpler Fred.  :) The shield would almost certainly not stand the pressure of the mould, if I made the wee chap (as he is, in the green) with his elbow bent to a more 'natural/normal' pose.
Leon may well fancy 'tweaking' the elbows of the master metals once those are done; when the shield is then effectively a part of the whole model, rather than as it is at the mo'.....a relatively brittle piece of putty that would be easy for the pressing to damage....... if it were at an angle.

(Hope that makes sense !!  ;))

I've already made her !.......Yonks ago.  ;D ;D
Don't think my tiny version is quite as good looking as the real thing.....And the one I've made is slightly larger 'up top'.
She's in the catalogue 'somewhere' as Kiera.

It IS......As long as you remember a few simple fair old number of basic rules.......And then throw them out of the window, to see what you can get away with. ;)

Don't think that's on the list at the moment Steve. ;)

Thanks for the explanation - makes a lot of sense. Must make it quite hard to sculpt the figure in a flat pose, while thinking how it will finally look.
