Finally got the little blighters sorted. I'll probably add to them in the near future, but for the moment there are at least enough to play with. Force consists of an infantry company of three platoons, support sections of HMGs and 3" mortars, a troop of 25 pr field guns and a troop of Lee tanks. All that's needed now is to sort the rules.

Oh, and I've just realised, there's a carrier patrol hiding on my workdesk that I missed from the photos.

After a few months in the sun and rain of Burma they probably faded to a washed-out grey. The only colour-photograph I can find of the uniform looks as if it was hand-coloured - and I wouldn't trust seventy-year-old colour values anyway. So you pays your money......  :-\

Nicely done  8)

Any reason you've not based the armour?

Hertsblue

I don't normally base free-standing vehicles, Nik. Bases are great when the models are on a neutral surface, but when you drop them into terrain they stand out like a sore thumb. The only reason I based the artillery tractors is because they would otherwise have stood on a lower level than their associated guns. Just one of my hobby-horses, I'm afraid.  =)

Cool - makes sense; I was only wondering because you'd based the arty tractors - but it all makes sense now  :)

Rob

Very nice indeed.

Are you planning Japanese to follow?

Here is the carrier patrol missed from the previous batch. In some parts of Burma it would be quicker to get out and walk!
