It's a pain when bayonets break off, but at least you file them down and just have the rifle. It's when lances break that I find myself sobbing in my beer.  :'(
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Had a spare battery of 10.5cm howitzers left over with crews in helmets so tried out some different ideas on the guns for the western front

Ordered a pack of 77mm with Helmet crews by mistake so needed a pack with Picklehaub to replace the crew but then ordered 10.5cm by mistake so ended up ordering another pack of 77mm hence a spare Battalion of 10.5cm Howitzers.  Crews have dark grey helmets which mean they are a bit dark than I am used to.  But ho hum.  Might gradually add the odd bit here and there to make a later period German army for the western front.

Very tasty !!

That way lies madness, Si. Don't jump on your horse and ride madly off in all directions.  8-}

Adding later war additions was always part of the plan as soon as a result of starting the 1916+ Brits.  I seemed odd fighting 1914 era Germans.  I wont be a lot.  Probably updated MGs but with a bit more base modelling and the odd base of infantry on shell hole bases.  But it wont be a whole new army.
