Are the Sudanese camel corps figures Egyptians in fez, or Brits in helmets?

Hopefully with a few minor changes the British figure can be turned into the Egyptian Camel Corp.  hint hint

I am reading Churchills River Wars and the Egyptian Camel Corp was used extensively.
