1859 French

I notice there are only 2 codes in the 1859 range. Can I assume that the 1870 French are suitable for 1859?

Most of the FPW French is fine for 1859. Virtually all of the line infantry wore the kepi

The only troops that aren't are the IG Grenadier Hence the 1859 ones in Bearskins as they did wear them in Italy although a lot got "mislaid" due to the heat.

The IG Voltigeurs apparently insisted on wearing the old Shako until they replaced it with the bonnet de police. Sadly the figures don't match up to the rest of the 1859/1870 range which is outstanding and are lacking command figures
