Hi Leon,

I am just working out an order for some 1809 French and Austrians.

1. Hadn't noticed before but the Austrian Grenadiers are in packs of 16, 3 command and 13 infantry. I am wondering why this is. Austrian grenadiers consist of 2 companies per regiment formed with the companies of two other regiments to make 6 company battalions for the reserve. Therefore they will be purchased on the same basis as fusiliers. Packaging them in small packs means a lot of superfluous command figures. Is it possible to order grenadiers on the same basis as fusiliers i.e. 30 figure packs?

2. I noticed an earlier post where you said (I think) you were not going to do German fusileers in shako. Why is that please? The shako was introduced for German regiments in 1806. So as the helmets wore out they were replaced by shakos a process not competed until after 1809 but certainly a process that means a proportion of the regiments did have the shako.

3. Do you expect Austrian plus French guns and crew to be ready in January? February? March? April?

Cheers Rob  :)

Apologies for the delay in answering this one, bit hectic around here at the moment!

On your questions:

1. We can provide whatever you need, the easiest thing to do is pop us a list, eg. NPA11 x 48 foot, 2 officers, 2 drummers...... etc.

2. The Germans in shako aren't on the Wagram list as far as I recall, but it doesn't mean we won't be doing them at some point.  If the rest of the uniform stayed the same, then it's a simple head conversion.

3. I'd expect to have the French artillery done in the next couple of months, but we've not received the Austrian guns from the designer yet.  As soon as we get them, we'll pop the pics up on here.  It will probably be a similar case to the French ones though, where we have to hold on until we've got enough to fill a master mould.
