Those is the most convincing snowy bases I have ever seen.  So how did you make the snow - or did you shoot the pics in your refrigerator?

Leon

Yeah, I'm curious about that?  It kinda looks like the stuff you spray on your windows at Xmas?

Thanks lentulus - it's this:

- snow is a mix: PVA: Woodlands Scenics Snow: water at about 4: 4: 2 ratio - brushed, shoved, poked & cajoled onto bases & then while it's still wet, it gets another dusting of snow from a height...leave to dry...

:D I hadn't thought about that - that would be messy eh? Although that could be good for terrain...hmm...

Excellent work again Nik!  :D They'll give me the prod to get my winter Russians done.

What's the halftrack on your CO base?

Thanks mate  :)

I think it's GR207 - Sdkfz 251 with map table & crew

Ninety minutes? That's barely time to shake the paint bottles!  :'(

Admit it - you've got an entire factory production line of little elves churning these out 24/7.  ;)
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

fred.

They look really good.

When I saw the earlier WIP progress shots I thought they looked a bit off - but clearly you were doing a Rolf Harris - it looks like nothing much until the end when it looks like art! I'm not sure I have the confidence in what the end result will look like to do intermediary steps that don't look right on their own.

Another commission job?
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

;D Can you tell what it is yet? You're right...and these are heavily stylized - I've done them like this so they look cold & a bit grainy [like most of the footage you watch of this really] - and because I want them on-table pronto  :)
