Youi need a logo so you can put it on stuff (like the TooFatLardies do with Pie and a Pint)

How about David and (fallen) Goliath - with the logo

It's not the size
Its what you do with it.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

We've looked at logo's so many times in the past couple of years, but it's very hard to find something which can be linked to everything we offer.  The sniper scope / crosshairs theme which we use on the catalogue has already been taken in logo terms by Bolt Action, so that was out.  We tried various typefaces and all kinds of headwear and weaponry, but nothing really jumped out at us yet.

Why don't you organize a logo competition?
Si vis pacem, para bellum

Perhaps some sort of round logo with a dragon design (for the "draken") incorporating the name in the design, as there are quite a few "Pendragon" named businesses out there already.  Red and Blue as a colour scheme would tie in nicely with the website.

Could do, not a bad idea there.

Sounds good.  We want something small and eye-catching, which would become instantly recognisable as us.

How about "Pendraken - so much more than the Totty thread!" or "Pendraken - just Google 'AWI Totty'!"   :D

What about using the Roman helmet you take round to the shows as a centre piece ?
I expect some other firm has already used that....???

I'd say some sort of stylised 'X' (Roman numeral for 10).

I'd assume someone must have the Roman helmet somewhere, Baccus have the Greek one.  The problems with that are twofold, first we change the helmet every year, so the Roman one will be gone in a few shows time.  And second, I'd be after something which covers everything we do.  I have played about in the past with a montage of weaponry evolution, but nothing I was happy with.

Signifying?  We could go with XX for the 20th Anniversary next year?

I'm sure I'm remembering something from the dim and distant past with the following...

But..... "Pendraken" in a suitably spiffy (or even made up) typeface over silhouettes of various soldiers of different eras.genres.
My thought that even with small silhouettes it should be possible to portray say,
A WWi Tommy... A Samurai warrior...A roman soldier...A Napoleonic figure....AWI model... An alien beastie....A wizard with a staff....blah blah blah.

I'd have a go at drawing something, but 'flat art'  is something that I just 'don't do' properly.

Aye that's it Nik...

Its also a 'universal symbol' that transcends culture and time period; given the huge amount of different periods Pendraken covers, if you style it right i think it'll cover off everything pretty well.

Its also a very simple image, easily recognisable, and if styled right, very memorable.

:)

Why are you called 'Pendraken'?

Wrpping the 'X' in a style that relates to 'Pendraken' might produce something useful...

'Pendraken' came about from two things.  Our first real range was the Fantasy, so we wanted something which sounded right for that.  Dragon was too obvious, so a bit of dictionary work later, and 'Draken' was agreed on.  Then add in a bit of the 'Pengilley' surname, and that was that!

I'll have to see what I can come up with in terms of an 'X', and effects to go with it.
