Dear All

Does anyone know what track size the Boer War armoured train would fit? Would N Gauge suit? I am thinking of investing for a Russian Civil War project, but don't want to shell out if I can't find compatible track.

Any help gratefully received.

It would fit on N guage tracks no problem.

Try a model railway show there is usually a lot of second hand "N" gauge loco and wagons available not only British but European outline. These could easily be converted with plasticard, may be not 100% accurate but cheap.  If I we're to do it I probably like the train to work!

The armored train and carriages are excellent.  I have a set for the BW.

But can anyone suggest a good paint scheme for them?  The dioramas posted among the Photos seem to be later trains, and they are all dark (olive?) green.

Have people painted up the BW armored train?  How did you do it-- that is, what colors, and was any special technique involved?

Maybe even a picture or two, if that's possible.

Thanks.
