2012 - 20 Years of Pendraken!

How about some limited edition personality figures from popular ranges for attendees to buy. Any leftovers could then be taken to shows.

I'd like to do some kind of one-off figure, but I've got a few differing thoughts on what to do at the moment.

Let us know if this definately goes ahead as we have been using 10mm for our show demos for last decade - could probably rustle up enough people to run a couple of the games at the same time: Soudan, 1870, ACW, Marlborough, 7YW, 1866, WWI, Wars of the Roses, Boer War etc.

It's definitely happening, but we haven't set any dates yet.

Things that might be fun to see (all 10mm Pendraken focussed of course):

Open game tables - Yep!
Local club displays / demo games - Yep!
Armies on parade - perhaps a display of well painted Pendraken armies, maybe as a judged competition?  Perhaps individual or 'base' painting display/competititon too? - Some kind of painting comp could be an option.
Pendrakens display of its full range - painted. - Probably a bit optimistic!  If we get a nice variety of games though, we'll have a lot of the ranges covered.
DungeonWorld exhibit (participation games?) - This would be cool, and definitely something I'd like to do.  It'll depend on whether some people can make it to the event.
Meet 'n greet with your scultors and painters (assuming they're safe be be let out of their cages?)  Maybe lectures/seminars on various aspects of 10mm gaming (sculpting/conversion, painting, terrain making, the benefits of the scale, the best rules to use etc.)? - Maybe, this is something we'd discussed behind the scenes, but one person pointed out that most people attending will be 10mm folk already.  I'd love to have some kind of sculpting tutorial.
A 'totty' stand...ahem...perhaps not. - Hmmm...
A gaming competition or two (HotT/DBA, WMA, BkC/CwC/FwC) - Not sure on this one, could be fun, but it would depend on how much space we've got available.
A trade stand obviously... - Yep, definitely!
Cat in the Hat special. - Also a possibility.  It's a shame we sold the Prussian helmet, and we've already got an offer for the Roman one as well!  Dave's got a few in the loft he could bring along though, including a £400 picklehaub!
A gathering of local clubs. - Yep, all would be welcome, and I'll be pestering folk for games once we finalise more details.

Spoke to Pete at the Burnley club, we be interested in running a SCW game using my own variant rules with BKC style command system, now I've painted half of Spain for him he has a lot of armies to field

I'm 4 hours 18 minutes away (according to the AA) and my visa is not up to date so I can't go beyond Watford Gap.
Actually I'm already booked that day so can't do it sadly but I hope it is a great suceess.
