I met the team at triples today (with wife and 2 kids... mine not theirs). I've always wanted to do Glorious Revolution. But 28mm I've not enough space. 6mm, just too small (although I luuurve baccus FPW & ave loads). I kind of new what I wanted. But Pendraken? Meh?
So I got to their stand. Lovely. Fantastci figures, great help, knowledge-able. It was perfect. I could have talked about it all day. New period. All excited! No pressure, no rush, just wonderful figs, painted to a standard that defies belief. I thought, yeah grab a few bags. I've almost 800 infantry! How did that happen? And a great help from the team there.

But I've got them out of their packs and they are truly superb. Even the wifey said they were nice.

2 things I have learnt...

1) Take your wife to a wargames show. She will easily find somebody spending more than you.
2) Go to the Pendraken stand. But the new LoA range. Buy as much as you can. Its cock on.

cheers,

Alan

Alan, you really must tell me where I'm going wrong with my wife.
Married for over 27 years and I have never managed to get her to an exhibition.  :(
Showed her my submission to the Sculpting Competition and she was not impressed at all.  :( :(
Mind you, she does make the best roast potatoes I've ever tasted so I suppose you can't have everything!  ;)
Life is too important to be taken seriously.

My wife always comes along to SELWG but sits and watches swimming/diving. Comes in useful as it gives the kids a change of scene.

Never take the wife, she would then realise everything wasnt £1 per pack

Leon

Good to hear you like the figures, you must be the chap looking nervously around for his wife during the purchase...  :D

Keep us informed on how the painting goes, and any pics are always appreciated!

We should make a duplicate 'fake' website for wives, with all the prices showing a third of the actual cost...  :D
www.pendraken.co.uk - Now home to over 10,000 products, including nearly 5000 items for 10mm wargaming, plus MDF bases, Battlescale buildings, I-94 decals, Litko Gaming Aids, Militia Miniatures, Raiden Miniatures 1/285th aircraft, Red Vectors MDF products, Vallejo paints, Tiny Tin Troops flags and much, much more!

Duke Speedy of Leighton

That will work, until one of us gets lucky and she decided to buy an Xmas pressie we actully want (it's happened to me once in the ten years I've known Mrs Lemmey)...
'Why has it it tripled in price dear?'  >:( ;D
You may refer to me as: Your Grace, Duke Speedy of Leighton.

I must be really lucky then, coz she scrubs up a bit and she lets me get a fair amount of little men.
I've not made much progress so far with the new stuff mind, as I had to go to Africa right after the sheffield show. I've not even taken them out of the bag yet!
