Sometimes I wonder - why is that frisbee geting bigger - and then it hits me!

Leon

Excellent, very well done!  It tempts me into making some bigger rooms for the Dungeons, but there's only so big we can go before we hit casting/posting issues, so yours looks like a much better alternative!

.... maybe cast smaller flat sections which can be placed side by side together to form a larger whole?

:)  <--- ever hopeful

That's definitely an option...

Just as a bit of feedback, would it be worth adding some cracks to the tiles, just to break up the uniformity of it?  A thin-tip marker could be a quick way of doing it?  It would also blend in nicely with the Dungeon pieces then as well.

Brilliant idea Leon. I`ve still got bits to do to my first early effort (fill colour into the gaps where the paint didn`t take, generally add some more detail, and so on) but I`d never have thought of adding cracks to the tiles. Cheers for that  :)

Looks good.

You (or Paula) probably don't want to know but you can get large sheets of the mini mosaic tiles from DIY stores. Much easier than laying out lots of individual ones.

AAAAAAAAGH    really?   =((

I wonder what the scale of the squares might be?

Ah well c est la vie    its done now lol

comes in15mm squares. Also 1inch squares seem common.  The 15 mm ones are quite pricy though

Aaaaah  15mm is too small, the dungeon tiles are 18mm across which is the same size as my 1 cent bases... and 1 inch (25mm) is simply too big; I`d need to make the bases huge or the figures would be lost - imagine trying to form a line of ten Orcs over 10 inches of dungeon space.

:)

I've based my single figs on 12mm washers mainly - with some pennies for monsters (which are 19mm I think).

I might keep an eye for a sheet of these tiles on sale in the DIY shops - could be a good way of getting a large area.

£20 for a 30x30cm sheet is a bit pricey though...
