I was just looking through a copy of Bowdens, Armies on the anube 1809, and the French had quite a few Southern German allies in 1809.  It looks like many of the infantry can be created using French models.  Not sure about the cavalry.

1809 French and Austrians seems like a very good timeframe for modeling.  I suspect those will be good models through the end of the Napoleonic period.  So they can be used for other campaigns beyond 1809 including Spain, Russia, grand coalition and 100 days Waterloo.

Hey jagger just a note in the "wagram" list posted by leon they wil be covering the smaller allied nations in due course so you  may just want to wait and get all those wonderful toys in the right kit.

Hopefully Bavaria and that other country with the bavarian style helmets, Baden??, are high on the list.

the Austrian artillery have arrived at Pendraken HQ today

I should be making an order over the next week or two which would include the 1812 Austrian artillery.  Should I wait for the 1809 Austrian artillery?

I wouldn't expect them to appear until around the June releases I'd think, just so much already pencilled in to both April and May's batches.  They'll need to go into a low-temp mould as well, so we'll have to make sure we've got enough to fill one.

Any more news on the next batch of Austrian releases?

They were planned for this months releases, but we need to tweak the figure slightly, the helmet comb on a couple of them wasn't quite right, so Dave's gonna get that done over the weekend, or early next week hopefully.

Once they're done, we should be good to go.

The artillery mould is away being done at the moment, so I'd hope to pick it up this weekend at Phalanx.  I'm not sure whether we can fit a production mould in for them though, as we've got a pile of ACW ones waiting at the moment.

Oh well. At least the bank balance can breathe a sigh of relief for a little while longer ;)

Looking through the photos, I noticed there are two poses for the Grenadiers Firing troops (firing and loading) but I only saw a single pose for the Hungarian and German line firing figures (firing).  So are there two poses for the Hungarian and German line firing just like the grenadiers or just the one pose?

It's only the Hungarian Grenadiers which have got a loading pose, the designer found a nice reference for the pose, so decided to include it for us.  We will probably go back and do a load of loading poses for the various foot at some point.

I just realized I haven't seen any references to 12 pounder artillery for either the Austrians or the French.  So can we expect some 12 pounders and any sort of timeline?  Thanks.

oh yes I agree we need 12 pounders for the French  8)

Stop being greedy and wait your turn, my Austrians need any pounder of guns at the moment, not to mention at least a couple of types of donkey wallopers.

Just finished off some production moulds tonight, should be some happy Nappy campers next week...
