blodging to 10mm

Most of us come to 10mm with a shed full of sceanic items and bits and bobs made for much bigger scales.   With a dirth of such props in 10mm, I have taken to file and hacksaw to some of these items and 'blodged' them down to fit 10mm.  The current job is a couple of 25mm scale resin barges that with a new scratch build plastic card bridge,engine room, masts and fittings will emerge as 10mm tramp steamers.   H0 scale railway bridges also convert well to make impressive 10mm road bridges.    My urban landscale contains a few Hasbro toy sets converted with suitable doors and windows to 10mm.  An H0 Nissen hut has had the end walls  removed to emerge as a passable aircraft hanger.  Has any else blodged things down to 10mm? Love to hear of your ideas and conversions.

Yes, most wargames trees are well under-scale. When you realise that a mature tree can reach 40 ft easily and your 10mm figure is, say, 6 ft, such a tree should be 70mm tall.
