Talking of ranks, I have been watching a lot of Star Trek the Next generation (On series 6) and I have noticed that all female officers are referred to by their subordinates as "Sir".
I am sure if this was released today the woke brigade would be up in arms

I'm sure a whole different group would be up in arms if they were addressed as Ma'am.

Some people are just determined to be offended, so they'll always find something.

Never understood why they didn't just address them by rank, tbph.
