I feel that they are very much the Bruce (the mechanical shark from Jaws) of the Pendragon back-catalogue: better only hinted at in rumour and seen in blurry images of yesteryear (if at all)...  X_X

They were designed as an army for "Hordes of the things" so could fight any army from that list. The Amazons mentioned by O Dinys Powys  are just one of many suitable opponents. Indeed they could fight another penismen army.

Or an HOTT army made up of cars or other vehicles as penis substitutes.
