Downloaded. Had a few of the books back in school (mid 80s), but never got aroudn to actually playing. Created loads of characters,and designed ships and robots though :D

I have very fond memories of a Traveller campaign run at the South East Scotland Wargames Club many, many moons ago.

We were the crew of a vehicle traversing America from East Coast to West bringing some medical macguffin to prevent a medical apocalypse. If I remember correctly the campaign fizzled out before the macguffin was delivered.

The vehicle was large enough for a crew of half a dozen and had a turret on top of which I was designated gunner.

I always imagined the thing to be a larger and better armoured version of this ....

I too remember Traveller from back in the day, the little black book, in school in the mid 80s. 

I'm not sure we ever actually played a game. But we loved the concept and spent time designing ships and other things. 

I've no idea what happened to my little black books - which is odd as I despite stepping away from gaming for a good while - I do have most of my other stuff from that era. Hopefully whoever I leant / gave them to made good use of them!
