I'm really glad you are enjoying it chaps.

Like you both, I originally came to FWC initially and then CWC (before BKC) from other sets of rules, and was looking for, and found, the unpredictability and 'fog-of-war' effect that the 'Commander' mechanisms produced.

Some of the concepts, such as casualties and suppression coming off each turn can be hard to get your head around. But there is now a whole generation of gamers brought up on 'Warmaster' who are progressing into historical 'modern' armoured warfare, for whom this idea is not at all 'alien'.

I also liked the idea that I could play both small games (a few hundred points) and huge multi-player games with OOBs rather than points, using the same rules.

I look forward to reading more of your battle reports with pleasure.
