1) What ruleset did you use in your last game? - AK-47 Republic (90s version) by Peter Pig
2) What armies were confronted? - Krapistani Warlord versus Al Kebab
3) Did you feel comfortable with the ruleset? - Very much, it's incredibly simple and easy to play
4) and... was this the first time you used this ruleset? - No
5) How many players were in the game? - 2
6) What went well? - We had an enjoyable time and it went down to the wire. My dice rolls were pretty abysmal, especially for reserves to come on the table
7) What could have been improved? Not much that I can think of.

1) What ruleset did you use in your last game? - IACTA ALEa EST!
2) What armies were confronted? - Scipionic Romans vs Seleucids
3) Did you feel comfortable with the ruleset? - Yes
4) and... was this the first time you used this ruleset? - No
5) How many players were in the game? - 2
6) What went well? - I restrained the impulse to go for quick local advantages and cavalry scraps I was unlikely to win, rather concentrating on holding a steady line together. Lee had the placement of terrain, and blundered badly by cutting the available space with a river which restricted her cavalry advantage.
7) What could have been improved? We could have had a nude Keira Knightly and Johnny Depp serving drinks.

1) What ruleset did you use in your last game? - Aliens: Another Glorious Day In The Corps
2) What armies were confronted? - Colonial Marines vs Aliens
3) Did you feel comfortable with the ruleset? - Ish
4) and... was this the first time you used this ruleset? - In public, yes.
5) How many players were in the game? - 2
6) What went well? - Finding Newt on the first 'mission' blip, my collegue getting the rules straight off, a successful extraction, lot of laughs.
7) What could have been improved? Weizbowski not getting eaten, Ripley not going berserk early on, Frost not being able to open doors.

First play in our club, just two of us tonight, next time, eight people are joining in, it's going to be carnage!

1) What ruleset did you use in your last game? - IACTA ALEA EST!
2) What armies were confronted? - Ancient Indians vs Macedonians
3) Did you feel comfortable with the ruleset? - Yes
4) and... was this the first time you used this ruleset? - No
5) How many players were in the game? - 2
6) What went well? - The Indians shot hopelessly; a few casualties here and there, but no serious weaknesses. An impetuous attack by the heavily outclassed Indian cavalry meant their left flank was even as the summer snow, when the sun is hot in summer.
7) What could have been improved? Lee's ambush was in the same location as my ambush, and better armed. The result was unfortunate. I had one of those series of endless 1 rolls which kept the Asians fighting even with a shaken army long after they should have been running for it.

Sons came round on Saturday for a Black Powder game of WSS. I forgot Sunjester was the one with the French - thought I had both sides, so we didn't play that. #1 said "That's why I gave you a week's notice, so you could borrow them"!

So we played BP's Grand-daddy, Warmaster.
#1 (assisted by #2) had Imperial Roman
I had Undead. Yes, we mixed Fantasy with Ancients rules. As it has been some years since last used there was a learning curve!

first 3 turns were really slow due to our rubbish command rolls, so #1 got #2 to do the dice throwing - #2 and Sj must have a game against each other to see what two sets of lucky dice look like.

The fact that the Romans moved, plus the fact Roman Legions are better than skeletons, and there were lots of bloody "Italians" basically didn't help. Add to that my Monsters were subject to my command rolls, so movement was fitful - I don't think the Skeleton Giant moved all game. Add to that the light cavalry more than held their own against my chariots and vultures it didn't go round for the forces of Chaos.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

5) How many players were in the game? - Four for two games of one Vs one.v
6) What went well? - The dinosaurs captured the Badgers flag game 1 pretty easily. Ravens were very tough. Rules good and clear, with nice special effects for each character.

A lot of fun, players aged 11, 20, 50 and 61 all had a good giggle. Already ordered a set for home

My last game of 2023 was the Battle of Sedan 1870 using a Franco-Prussian variant of Age of Eagles.
