With the mini battle board done, it's time to turn my attention to the characters for my ASoA&M adventures

Planning 3-4 warbands, keeping mostly to Pendraken but with a few guest stars.

First up is my Romano-British Leader

Couple more painted today

Archer with slight modifications

Added length to the bow and quiver, maybe a bit too long to be historically correct but it's King Arthur after all

Also need to add an arrow at some point



This old retainer still needs his shield painting, I'm undecided if I want the whole band to have identical shield designs or even what pattern I want

If you need inspiration for the shield pattern, The Notitia Dignitatum has shield patterns for the Late Roman field army units. You might like to consider the Exculcatores Iuniores Britanniciani (The Stompers from Britain - Junior Unit) as a template?
