No matter what you think of Cromwell this looks like a interesting place to visit if you are in the area.

From the top picture looks like you have to dress in C17 style to be admitted  :-\

Well worth a visit. I used to live about 200 yards away and was a regular caller.

There's a nice and small museum in St Ives, which is not too far away (note the the Cornish one!), plus an impressive statue of the man in the market square.

The museum reopened in 2020 after a £160,000 refurbishment and has long-term plans for further expansion

My visit proved to be at the time of the refurbishment.  Glad to read of the increase.
