Shooting at Bunkers

Is there an advantage for infantry to use an AT upgrade (Bazooka, RPG, etc) against bunkers versus their usual * attack value?

I'm not sure if I've got this all straight. Let's say a soviet infantry unit decides to shoot at an infantry target in a log bunker. Their usual attack is 3 and has * showing no attacks against hard targets. They also have an RPG-2 upgrade, giving them 3 attacks as "howitzer" (H). If they use their normal weapons, they would hit the unit on 6 and the infantry in the bunker would have a save. I think... Or can they only suppress the target? How would this change if they fired their RPG at it?

Standard infantry weapons (small arms) will only suppress units in Bunkers.

The RPG upgrade however will cause hit (casualties).
The 'H' effect that the RPG upgrade would normally suffer against Armoured vehicles, does not apply when shooting at a Bunker. So a bunker & occupants can be hit at the maximum RPG range and receive casualties.
NB: this is why IATWs, RCLRs and Howtizer type weapons have the longer range and an 'H' designation.

You could also combine the RPG shooting (from one unit) with the Infantry small-arms shooting (from others) to increase the number of suppression dice against the occupants of the bunker.
