Command Units

Hi Everyone I'm new to the rules and have a question on Command Units.

I aim to replicate real life ORBATs from Germany in the 1980's with one base to a platoon. How many Command units do players use in a battalion sized Battle Group? Say 2 Infantry Companies with an Armoured Squadron and supporting units, mortars, ATGW etc.?

I suppose the question boils down to how many command units per combat unit?

It varies. For that Id use a comand and an HQ + 1 FAO.

Soviets - Motor Rifle 1 until the Infantry dismount then 2, Tank 1
