Suspect this is one for Mollinary...
Or Cameronian...
Or Chad...
7 YW Prussians
I know there are 5 flags to a regiment, but if I only have two, a colonel's and a regimental flag.
Who goes on the left when observed from the front?

If you're looking at them from the front, the Leibfahne (with the white field) is on the left (on the right if you're standing in the line).

Unfortunately Duffy's Army of a Frederick the Great doesn't say.  It does contain a diagram of a deployed battalion, which shows the 5 colours grouped in the centre with 6 nco's.  They are lined up as follows.

No indication as to which is the Leibfahne. The battalion in this case is pointing toward the top of the page.

Digby Smith* says leibfahne carried by the senior musketeer company, all other musketeer companies carried a ordinairfahr and grenadiers did not carry colours.

Can't help on the number and position of flags but my Pengel & Hurt material gives colour of flagpoles if that is of any interest
