I've been playing with using Pendraken ranges for Scandinavian armies of the later Napoleonic period (1813ish), with varying results.

From left to right Swedish infantry in Kiwer, Danish Grenadiers and later Danish infantry.

Swedes
I used Russian infantry for the Swedes. I know the plume is not representative, but I only had some Russian grenadiers to play with.  Unfortunately the Russians have gaiters and not trousers. . I'm OK with the Kiwer (2nd from left) but could really like Pendraken to produce some in the round hat (3rd from left). 7/10 - possible

Danish Grenadiers
I tried the Wurttemberg grenadiers for the Danes, pretending the crest is the big bendy plume. Where it falls down is the back, where the Danes had a panel somewhat similar to the Spanish. The other problem is the very short Danish tunic. 3/10 - not really a goer.

Danes
Being somewhat unfair to the Danes, I proxied their 1813 army with their 1842 uniform. They could plausibly have white, blue or dark grey trousers, and the both the blue and the grey vary greatly in shade according to illustration. The tunic is also described as being "crimson" rather than the very British Scarlet. I would change the bedroll colour from pale blue to grey ... and remember to paint the bayonets, but I'm up for this. Grenadiers in the guise were designated by the pompom colour rather than a very sill hat.  9/10 ... go for it!

Keep looking at these and thinking of Hans Christian Anderson ... but of course he was Danish.   :)

Ta.  :D

Disappointed I couldn't find Kiwer wearing Russians in trousers.

Quite excited for the Danes - especially the garish (and possibly anachronistic) guns.

fred.

Interesting - I'd make the Danish jackets a bit more red, they are quite dark atm.
The grenadiers seem a pretty good match - due to the big plume
