OK, I've just put my order in for all the troops I need for the Jarama scenario in the BKC Libertad supplement.

Now the wait begins. Can you hear my fingers drumming, Leon? 😂

The SCW has long been an interest of mine, especially the involvement of the International Brigades. Ever since reading the books of Laurie Lee telling the story of his involvement, I have fascinated by this first struggle between fascism and socialism in Europe.

I can highly recommend Giles Tremletts 'The International Brigades'.

I'll update progress of this project as I go.

I too focused my SCW project on Jarama, although it was a few years back.
If you can find it, it is worth getting a copy of 'The Book of the XV Brigade'.  It is a first hand illustrated account of the fighting the XV Brigade was involved in.  It was first published in 1938 by the Commissariat of the XV Brigade in Madrid, republished by Frank Graham, Newcastle upon Tyne 1975.
Other first hand accounts well worth reading include:
'English Captain' by Tom Wintringham who commanded the British Battalion at Jarama, Faber and Faber, London 2011, originally published in 1939.
'The Battle of Jarama 1937', by various authors, also published by Frank Graham, Newcastle upon Tyne 1987.
'British Volunteers for Liberty 1936-1939', by Bill Alexander who succeeded Wintringham ,  Lawrence and Wishart London 1982.
'Reason in Revolt', by Fred Copeman, also one-time CO of the British Battalion, Blandford Press 1948.
Secondary accounts of Jarama include:
'La Batalla del Jarama', Rafael Lopex and Artemio Perez, Quiron Ediciones, Valladolid ND.  This illustrated account has a Spanish and English text and is useful for OBs
'They Shall Not Pass- The British Battalion at Jarama'.  Ben Hughes, Osprey Publishing, Oxford 2011
