Easy home assembly?
Just got the ITA 22 Autocannone which looks to be a fun piece of kit. But it has 11 bits to it excluding the crew.
I can see that the round base fits on the back of the lorry and that the gun goes on the mount with the shield, thus accounting for 5 of the bits. But where do the other bits go? They appear from the photo to be outriggers to provide stability.
Help please.

They are - they are attached under the lorry body. Worth a Google for images of the real thing.

If you are still struggling let me know and I'll dig mine out and take some photos.

Here's some photos of how I put it together - showing off a really basic paint job!

That all makes sense, very helpful. Many thanks.

Now put together, a very nice model, but a very high profile which must have been a challenge in the desert. Hope it performs well on the day!

fred.

It is a cool model.

I have no idea how well these performed in battle - you would think they would have been a priority target for a 25pdr battery!

In any game I have played they get shot up by anything that can see them - I quite like sending Vickers IVs against them - as a 90mm shell vs a tin can must be a waste for the Italian player, but a burst of MG fire will take out the Autocannone

I try to have an umpire for my games so that something that is well camouflaged and hull down gets to fire and those on the receiving end get to dice to check whether they saw where the fire came from, so that might allow it to survive a bit longer.
