Just imagine if... having sculpted a really nice Czapka, (or other!)... the customer says... "But I thought they were Covered on Campaign?" !  ;)

Heedless Horseman

One of the reasons why I liked the Old Peninsula range figs, was the Campaign dress option for French Shako. Much easier to paint up. Not sure, but have read that many 1815 troops had covers on... but impossible to verify... you cannot rely on paintings as they would show soldiers 'in all their Glory'.

I've been sent a piccy, Keith. :P

There is NO cover.......the bits and bobs are a piece of wee wee to do, once It's done...It's simply trying to get the shape and size right......****ing thing. :'(
No wonder I cut myself so often.....I keep having to put brand new scalpel blades on one of the handles.

I do colourful troops, and to hell with reality. Reasons I won't do 1813, all the same greatcoat, different flag.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Greatcoats? I always thought 1813 campaign took place in the middle of the year

Go away...at the moment I'm cursing the complete ****** who decided that the Czapka was a clever design.
It's taking me longer to make one of these at 30mm 'scale' than it takes me to make a new 10mm figure from scratch.

Cheers - AAAARGH ! :'( :'( :'(

(The six *s, above can begin with any of the  following....'F'...'W'....or 'T'......they all end with 'er'.)

I feel better for that !
Cheers- Phil. ;)

Is that why we won't be getting ww2 Polish cavalry in 10mm any time soon, as to do a complete range we would need  cavalrymen both mounted and dismounted in Czapka as well as the Adrian helmet.

It might seem an odd thing to say, Mark, but I'm pretty sure I'd find Czapkas much easier to do at small scales.
At '30mm' mistakes in the shape are far more noticeable......Getting it to look 'symmetrical' is a sod of a job. ;)

Cheers - Phil. :)

We're not gaming the troubles* are we?

* One of the paramilitaries (can't recall which) was nicknamed the Wombles due to their taste for fur hooded parka jackets.

Just spotted that the Telegraph is agitating against the Wombles (Too woke or something).
One wonders what's in the fumes emitted from Victoria Station.

Bloody Wombles, tree hugging nature lovers. If the plebs reduce, reuse and recycle them how do we sell them new stuff to keep our profits up?!

Also at least one of thems a foreigner and likely here illegally.

Plus they never have proper jobs!

Do I sound like the Telegraph yet? I'm not sure I can dial the frothing up high enough...
