I will try to do a SBS for you guys at some point but for now here are some great tutorials to look at

If you do just one thing whan taking your pictures put you camera on a stand (pile of books will do) and use its timer.
The biggest thing that made my pictures look better (and I do not know why, am sure there is some fancy reason) is using a sheet behind the figure that graduates from dark to light shown below (it the only picture I have of pendraken stuff so far)

this paper you can get from card making shops.

That's some handy info, I'll have a proper read through those for when I'm photo'ing for the releases.
www.pendraken.co.uk - Now home to over 7000 products, including 4500 items for 10mm wargaming, plus MDF bases, Battlescale buildings, I-94 decals, Litko Gaming Aids, Militia Miniatures, Raiden Miniatures 1/285th aircraft, Red Vectors MDF products, Vallejo paints and much, much more!

Excellent info.  There are so many things to learn about making a good looking picture of a 10 mm high miniature, it's not nearly as simple as it looks.

Heres a link to an artice I wrote for a nice little webzine. I tried to write a guide "for dummies". I did and still do consider myself a photography dummy :)
