Hello everyone,

Here I'd like to represent my current painted and varnished miniatures for my pimped out board game which plays with RISK rules. I've got WIP 100mm hexes ready to be flocked which will form the gameboard for troop movement, pictures will follow as soon as I get them finished.

I'm going to paint new armies for each human faction as I was not satisfied with the quality of the miniatures I bought from Magister Militum, but now I've got a bunch of Pendrakens and TB lines miniatures which share a similiar style and quality that I will be adding and expanding to the "fantasy world" I created. Also working to give each faction a different looking units to add more flavor.

Sorry for the bad quality on some of the pictures.

These look amazing!

The Copplestone stuff especially.

Love your figures and ideas! The pics are fine and give sufficient detail to see how you are "theming" each army. Will be interested to see how all this develops. Oh! Welcome to the forum!  :-bd

Exceptional. I too am interested in hte size of the board. I also notice some bases for the figures seem bigger than others and wonder how that works in the game?

I'm glad you guys enjoy my work!

Here's a few previews of the hex map. The pieces are still WIP and lack some flock. We're currently beta testing the system. And the map will have a mat below with water with hex grid. Also the hexes have furniture protectors under them so thats why the hexes look like levitating.

Cool, a really good looking set of figures.

As you say, adding a bit more flock to the hexes should lift the look of the whole game, at the minute the brown is quite dark.

Currently the bases serve no other purpose, other than having enough space to hold the minis. But I'm looking into some skirmish based wargame system where I could use the minis aswell.

Especially as I start to replace a lot of the miniatures from the board game with new ones, I'll be left with vast amounts of excess armies that could be employed elsewhere.

I actually had all the human armies single based and painted before, but decided to rebase them into bigger units and paint them with a higher standard all over again. What a pain in the ass.

I'm open to suggestion regarding some light and fast rulesets that we might be able to modify for the miniatures available.

And all this started from playing some RISK with my board gaming group as I wanted to add some extra immersion. I got addicted pretty quickly.

Lion Rampant is very flexible as to basing.

I don't think there are many games that are faster to play.
