Apparently it was to do with a change of management at the top of Twentieth Century Fox TV. The new management didn't want anything hanging around that had been rated under the old management. Case of my d***'s bigger than your d*** ruining it for everyone else. At least we all got a decent big budget film out of it, which explained the Reevers, thanks to a big two fingers from MGM.

They didn't even try - Fox showed it out of order and moving its slot from the beginning- it never got the chance to be popular.
