:o Shocker, nosher, shocker. :'(

Fancy taking nekkid troops into battle....Now go paint 'em  :d

I know :( but at least it motivated me to start these again rather than get distracted by those minis from our latest 'transaction' ;)
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

12 spear done 12 to do. If I never see another dark ages miniature it will be too soon :D I am slowly losing the will to live painting all those bloody shields!

After the spears only skirmishing and medium foot crossbows to go. Basing and flocking still to come.

Getting there slowly but surely ;)

Other than taking on responsibility for coaching the county U13 Girls team and playing indoor cricket twice a week ;) Still, I'd trade this position for the position I was in this time last year while I was waiting for my back operation :(

Crossbow done - army finished (less tidying up bases and flocking - which I'll get done over the coming week with a bit of luck) pics on blog over the coming week (weather permitting)

:) ;) :D :)

I know for one thing that the Vikings WILL NOT BE NEXT :o

I need a break from Dark Ages and have plenty of other periods to work on including:

1.  Ayyubid Egyptians and Crusaders
2.  Napoleonic French
3.  Indochina (but need some more figs for this)
4.  Sudan Colonial (but need more figs for this)
5.  Samurai
6.  ECW (both sides)
7.  Shitloads of medieval figs (WoTR, 100YW, generic medieval)
8.  Carolingian, Rus and Byzantine

and thats just the stuff in 10mm/stuff that I can remember about :-[ I'm sure there are others that I will stumble across, plus its been some time since I last 'invested' in a 'little bit'  :d more lead :D :D :D

Got my eyes on some greeks and persians ;)

fred.

They look really good, both individually and as an army.

The shields on the cavalry are particularly nice. I like the lower density of figures on a base too - I am so used to the "crowded" look of WM figures, that these look quite fresh and open - if that makes any sense.

Cheers chaps :-[

Although I found this army a nightmare in terms of motivating myself to finish it, I am pleased with the overall result.

Found some more 10mm yesterday evening, add to the to do list:

9.  Polish renaissance
