The Romans are nearly finished. I just need to add a transfer on the sails and detail on the eyes. There are about 20 of them, took a day to build, a day to sculpt bases, a year sitting in a box, then as I didn't want to start anything big before I go away on holibobs, they only took a night to start,  then a night to finish!
As they are going to be used with 'Poseidon' Warriors' which is a squadron based rules set, I'm not planning on naming them, the back of the bases will have the faction symbol Rome - Eagle, Carthage etc) and then their class size (III, IV  or VI for the Romans) and a squadron colour (blatantly stealing Paul's WWI infantry basing idea here)!

So, nearly done, for 16 Romans, who are irregular colours, same for each squadron, now just got to decide on Carthage and colours. Thinking pale and regular.
The first Roman VI, which will be a flagship

Looking good!

I plan on having my Romans with more hulls that are also brown with splashes of colour like my Carthaginians but will have squadron colours in shades of red rather than blues.

Their flagships may have red or white hulls though.

They look really nice! I'd like to see then en masse.

I'll be interested to see an AAR and/or your thoughts on 'Poseidon' Warriors'. I'm still looking for a suitable set of rules for large actions.

Fleet is completed. Fours squadrons of quinquereme, a pair of triremes that will need boosting to five for 'Poseidon's Warriors', and two 'Sixes' that will be Roman Flagships.

Each squadron is colour coded with the ship's size and alignment (including badly drawn eagles for Rome).

Flagships, 'Sixes' (the sails have Baggage Train transfers to jazz them up a little).

Two out of four squadrons of quinquereme and the triremes.

Smoking gun

Now they've knocked me down and taken it, that still hot and smoking gun.

And the Carthaginians are now done too.

I went with a white theme, with the odd splash of colours for shields and squadrons. Carthaginian ships are ram heavy, rather than the Roman Corvus armed ships.
Ships labelled again, like the Romans, with Carthage Symbols (Tanit, god of War and Death) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanit

Oh, and some Roman Triremes to take their trireme squadron up to 5
